Objective

Apply my education, experience, and skills in Occupational Therapy to provide quality therapy for my clients and reliable service for my employer.

Credentials

Licensed as a COTA/L in the State of Connecticut, and nationally certified by the NBCOT

Experience Summary

I have worked with clients of all ages in school systems and sub-acute rehab settings. I have worked with clients with developmental disabilities to improve their life-skills using therapeutic activities, assistive technology and adaptive equipment. I have worked with adults to reach their highest level of independence with ADLs and IADLs through self-care retraining, therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment, ACP modalities, and therex for strength, endurance, balance, coordination, and range of motion. In schools, I have worked with children (pre-K through high school) to improve their classroom skills and academic performance and reach their IEP goals using therapeutic activities and assistive technology.

I have 21 years of experience working with my daughter (who is legally blind, has cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, autistic behaviors and mental retardation) to improve her participation in self-care, food preparation, light home-making activities, and leisure activities.

I have 20 years of experience with technology, with a special interest in assistive technology.
